IMPORTANT NOTICE RE LOCKDOWN
Growing Minds is presently closed due to the lockdown and will reopen on 14 April. However, should the lockdown be extended, our staff are ready to conduct interactive and engaging virtual classrooms from that date. Our pre-printed workbooks and workpacks, containing all of the term 2 content were handed out to the learners before the lockdown and will be used during the virtual lessons. We are committed to supporting our children and their families during this difficult time. To visit the COVID-19 Corona Virus South African Resource Portal go to sacoronavirus.co.za. We wish all our families to keep safe during this difficult time.
Who we are:
Growing Minds is an inclusive, independent school registered with the Western Cape Education Department. We are committed to providing small classes with individualised learning in a nurturing and caring environment, helping your child to reach his or her full potential.
What we do:
We offer multi level classes from grade R to grade 7 on a CAPS aligned curriculum.
For all our learners, staff, parents and wider community. We encourage our learners to show compassion, understanding and acceptance of differences and individuality.
For our environment and the world around us. We teach and encourage sustainable living and environmentally friendly practices.
Learning should be fun and we encourage our learners to enjoy and embrace each day of learning and play.
We encourage our learners to embrace knowledge and to apply it to their day to day lives. Learning is not just what happens during school hours but continues in understanding how what we learn at school, can be applied to the world around us. We encourage inquiring minds, critical thinking and deeper understanding.
